Safeguarding Statement

Last updated: 17 July 2026 · Draft pending final legal review

Our commitment

Bwaraat Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the adults and children who may be affected by the practice of the learners we train. Safeguarding is embedded in our courses, our assessment and our community, not treated as an add-on.

Safeguarding in our training

Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children are core parts of the Care Certificate and the mandatory training library, taught to current UK standards — the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and local safeguarding board procedures. Learners are taught to recognise, record and report concerns through the correct routes, and never to promise confidentiality where a person may be at risk.

Our community

Bwaraat Circles is moderated to clinical standards. Posts must not contain patient-identifiable information, and a clear reporting route and moderator queue operate alongside every forum. Content that raises a safeguarding concern is escalated, not ignored.

Reporting a concern

If you have a safeguarding concern about anything connected to Bwaraat Academy, contact us immediately at admin@bwaraatacademy.co.uk or +44 07474 697277. If a person is in immediate danger, always call the emergency services first on 999.

Our people

Trainers and assessors work within their competence and hold current safeguarding training themselves. Delegated healthcare activities are signed off only by a qualified assessor, against a named delegating clinician, with an auditable record.
